最近本律师收到两位悉尼留学生的咨询电话，有关他们被澳大利亚联邦政府起诉诈骗政府福利金一事。

两位学生都来自中国。去年他们申请来澳读书时，中介安排他们在澳大利亚申请 ”Away From Home Living Allowance”离开家庭生活补贴费。该补贴是每人每星期澳币193元。福利部调查发现他们以及他们父母都不是澳大利亚公民，因此起诉他们诈骗澳大利亚联邦政府福利金。

相信很快澳大利亚联邦政府将会彻查南澳州的此类案件。所以，本律师在此呼吁，经中介申请享有该福利的中国留学生尽快取消此福利，否则被查出的话将会被联邦检查局起诉诈骗政府福利金，最高惩罚是监禁10年。一旦被判监禁，学生签证就会被取消，将来便不能移民到澳大利亚。

不过你要是实在活不下去了，可以去centerlink哭诉说再不给我钱，我就要在澳洲饿死了
那样的话，centerlink倒是会发你福利的，即使你是tr，总不能看你饿死吧
