请教郑律师关于克扣房租押金问题

是这样我是短租2周（House）来这边旅游，房东是中国人之前在网上就约好了的，我住进去第二天晚上可能在屋里抽了一根烟，他发了一条短信过来问我是不是在屋里抽烟有人投诉然后说警察可能要来然后说要罚款，在我刚看完短信还没反应过来的时候电话就过来了 他上来就问你是不是抽烟了我承认后 他说你知不知道公共场合不能抽烟 我说不知道 他说你把窗户马上打开然后就挂了，但是电话里没有提罚款的事情，可能我感觉她是想等走的时候直接扣我的300押金（可能性极大）

1.他没有提前跟我说屋里不能吸烟
2.我是在他的房产李关上门抽的是不是属于公共区域？
3.他说有人投诉但是我感觉肯定他装烟雾报警了 要不然外面不可能有人知道
4.我们没有合同，他只是写了收了多少房租以及押金 哪天退还，并且写的是他的英文名字没有中文名字

这样的话如果他扣押金以警察可能已经罚款或者其他理由扣的话我能不能让他出示罚单？（或者他会说罚单没有寄过来要等多长时间这样 那样我就已经不在这个城市了） 我能不能报警有用么？

那他那么小题大做肯定也因为我是短租要扣我押金我有办法破吗？ 还有我是在私宅抽 又不是麦当劳里啊。。。

警察接到报警后直接联系房主，房主又问是否你抽烟，然后你又爽快的承认了。。。。。
这个钱是房主代收的，你也可以不交给他，然后叫警察上门来给你罚款单。。。。。。。
这种违规是不会影响以后的什么签证的，但是不交罚款的影响可是巨大的。。。。。。。

那我怎么知道她给我交没交呢 而且房子应该是她的 不交的话她有没有问题 或者可否让他给我开个收条证明这个罚款已交？
