Civil Strategy and Consultancy Firm Hiring Intern
Our client is a property and development advisory, strategy and consultancy firm established in 2006. The employer’s clients include companies such as BlueScope Steel, CSR and Toyota.
Our client would be able to accommodate a student with civil engineering, construction or property undergraduate degree background within their organisation.
1 The student would form part of client’s affordable rental housing development business sector undertaking market research and analysis of potential property development opportunities using site finding, auto generated building designs and feasibility software.
The scope of engagement would include researching specific areas within Sydney for the purpose of affordable rental housing development viability through:
> Creation of a database of nominated suburbs, median prices and rents, government website information and assorted reference material;
>Research into current community housing providers waiting list numbers and potential waiting times for housing;
>Prepare application forms for the creation of a new community housing provider entity;
>Undertaking preliminary feasibility studies for development of affordable housing projects.
Associated work requirements include:
>Review of land survey information;
>Preliminary, static and cashflow feasibility modelling;

>Low maintenance cost material selection; and
>Amending current design brief requirements.
1 search for specific types of proposed development sites;
2 undertake research into likely revenues from both sales and leasing associated with the proposed development sites;
3 undertake basic feasibility studies on proposed development sites; and
4 prepare databases for canvassing letters for acquisition of proposed development sites.
Upon completion of a three (3) month period the employer would provide a letter of confirmation regarding the scope of services undertaken by the intern and detailing their performance.
