你好，根据澳大利亚现行条例，任何人士必须在签证有效期内在澳大利亚居住两年。除非有特殊的情况，其中包括受雇澳大利亚公司要到海外工作。

你朋友的情况，她五年内在国内住了四年多，还有半年就到期。在这种情况下，是相当困难申请另一个永居的五年签证。如果她的丈夫不是永居的话，现在申请是太迟了。
