does anyone know how to use Mac book to type Chinese... ?????

It's up you. I prefer FIT (智能拼音), a third party app.

You can use build in Chinese input method, it is very user friendly as well.

Again, it's up to you. You can use system build in Chinese input method, it's more than ok, just like Microsoft Pinyin in Windows.

If you do need third party Chinese input method, you may consider FIT, QQ input, Sogou input, etc.
