Artisan Business Group learned today that the Senate’s proposed legislation to fund the Federal Government through December 11, 2015 contains an extension for the EB-5 Regional Center Program. Government funding legislation must be passed by September 30, 2015, the end of the federal fiscal year, which coincides with the deadline for EB-5 reauthorization.
The bill, called a continuing resolution, would extend the EB-5 Regional Center Program to December 11, 2015 as well. We anticipate that the Senate will debate and ultimately pass the continuing resolution in the coming days. The bill would then be sent to the House, which must pass it, without amendment, in order to prevent a shutdown of the Federal Government on October 1, 2015.
