据说，几个地方原来是垃圾堆填区，例如MAWSON LAKES, WEST LAKES, PORT ADELAIDE（旧的工厂区）附近，
就像现在的OTTOWAY， 和WINGFIELD 附近。有些地方写明此水不能饮用，RECYCLED 之类。
所以，在这些水域钓到的鱼可能被污染，不宜食用，本地人也不会去吃。
因而，里面的鲤鱼很多，还有规定钓上来的鲤鱼不许放生，否则罚500。
想吃鲤鱼请去茉莉河。

port river 中的鱼，尤其是居住在那的同理尽量不要吃，重金属和煤油污染都比较高
mawson lake 的水是recycled water，这样的carp你想吃?

这个你可以选择吃。比起中国很多城市的内陆湖泊，ML的水算不上毒。但是你要知道recycled water就是ML居民日常用水，包括洗衣服，洗澡，洗菜做饭，大小便进入下水道的水，经过初步的过滤去除颗粒物然后排放到湖中，然后很多乱七八糟的细颗粒都排放到了湖中。在Mawson Lakes这个水只能用来冲马桶和浇院子。
carp是一种底食性鱼类，它的嘴唇宽大如同吸尘器吸食水底沉积物。Mawson Lakes的水底沉积物你可以想象是什么东西吧。
你可以比较下Mawson Lakes 的鲤鱼和Murray River的鲤鱼的外观，颜色，气味，就会发现两者的区别.......

West lake 的咸水是每天循环的，涨潮时南面开闸，退潮时北面开闸，利用海滩和port river 的潮汐时差来自动循环。还是很科学的。
Port River 的水质比过去好很多了，如果不安全，我想 Fisheries 会有通知的，还有很多的鱼是迁徙性的，并不在Port River 里常驻。一般是大雨过后会来找吃的。
