疑似炸弹但不是。A package that forced the closure of part of Adelaide's CBD for more than four hours after it was spotted beneath a car outside a city court is not suspicious, police say.
The bomb squad was called in after a courier driver reported seeing someone placing the shoe-box sized parcel under a car parked on Gouger Street about 2:30pm, near the Sir Samuel Way building housing the Supreme and District courts.
The car belonged to a man who had made a brief court appearance this afternoon.
Courts were evacuated and police used a bomb disposal robot to check the package.
Star Force officers also attended the scene but police say the package has been removed and deemed safe.
Street cordons have been removed and bus and tram services through the western side of Victoria Square have resumed. |
