This course will help students learn basic piano techniques and theory. students will study 3-10 pieces of music, major and minor chords, major scales and some music symbols and notation. Level 2 and Level 3 students will continue theory and notation study appropriate for their level. In addition, students will gain some music elements such as melody, harmony, timbre, rhythm, dynamics and texture. After this course, students will be able to perform musically with technical proficiency and will be able to reorganise musical forms and techniques of different eras. Students are expected to practice approximately an hour daily, preferably six days a week.
