The University of Exeter will consider, if possible, applicants who will not be ordinarily resident within a reasonable commuting distance of the campus where their programme of study is based. However, this may not always be feasible. Research students may be permitted to spend part of their research period elsewhere, provided that the Academic School is satisfied that regular contact between the candidate and their appointed supervisor can be assured. For those candidates who are not graduates of the University the minimum period of attendance expected at the relevant campus will be six months.
