Three men have been arrested following a botched $100,000 handbag heist at David Jones's flagship store in the city overnight.
The three Millers Point men were arrested by police in a Subaru outside the store on Market Street about 2am.
They smashed through a glass entrance door and stole numerous designer handbags, with an estimated retail value of $100,000, which were found inside the car, police said.
Balaclavas were also found inside the car, police said.
The three, two aged 19 and one aged 24, were taken to City Central police station where they were charged with aggravated break and enter.
All three were refused bail and are due to appear in Central Local Court today.
