拜托啦！！虽然我现在有朋友送的NAATI培训的资料，但是我还是觉得不放心所以就找了平常看得最多的科技翻译的习作来研究。
今天的问题有以下2句：
1. At school the student needs to increase his knowledge in an organized way,[U] to acquire[/U] sufficient vocabulary in science for effective communication, [U]and to learn[/U] some facts because they are important in everyday living, such as knowledge that is useful for his health, for his safety and for an understanding of his surrounding.
在以上的这句，我想问的是，because they are 。。。they 指代的是some fact ——“常识”吗？这从句修饰的 and to learn some facts 做状语，还是做整个主句的状语呢？
而such as 引导的是everyday living 的同位语吗？或者是别的哪个部分的同位语呢？
