A PhD position with a Research Assistant (RA) support is now available (starting from Fall 2011) in the department of Computer Sciences at State University of New York, Binghamton (a Research-I university, the highest rating issued by the Carnegie Foundation). Binghamton University is known as a Public Ivy. Binghamton is very close to big cities (such as Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Washington D.C.), which have a lot of potential job opportunities.
The candidate should have a master degree in EE or CS (or closely related) before joining SUNY Binghamton.
