Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents should allow children to make their own choices rather than determine their children’s future for them。
People’s views on whether parents should or not determine their children’s future for them vary from people to people. Some people hold that Children should make their own choice instead of determined by their parents. As to me, I argue that parents should determine their children’s future for them, for children are too young and have little experience regarding society and life.
To begin with, children are grown up with their parents and are not fully independent to make their own choices. For example, children are too young to know about what the world real is. They do not whether they should go to the collage and which university is the best for them to study, and that sort of thing. It is advisable for their parents to make the decision for them, as once their children make choices by themselves, their lack of consideration may lead to unpredictable results.
Additionally, parents are full of skills and are much experienced for them to make the right choice for their children. You know, parents are quite familiar with their children situations. Parents may encounter the same problems or similar conditions as their children do now, and therefore, parents have a good insight on how to make decisions for their children’s future. You know, our society is undergoing increasing development. The development of society demands high level education, leading to going to university is remarkably important. I still remember my parents choose a good university for me to finish my study, which is proved right.
Admittedly, it is helpful for children when they can make their own choices. For instance, by making decision for themselves, they would learn to how to make following issues in some day. It is all know to us that children will finally grow up and have to make decision for their lives. The earlier children allowed to make choices by themselves, the faster they can step out of society.
From the above discussion, we can safely draw the conclusion that parents should determine their children’s future for them, at the same time parents try their best to teach their how to make right decision as soon as possible. |
