PioneerAirport Car Storage is going to provide car repairing service. Therefore, weare looking for a full time Motor Mechanic and it is based in Manunda, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for: · Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electricalcomponents to diagnose issues accurately · Dismantling and removing engine assemblies,transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts · Repairing and replacing worn and defectiveparts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manualsas needed · Conducting routine maintenance work aiming tovehicle functionality and longevity · Performing scheduled maintenance services,such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smootherrunning of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations · Reassembling engines and parts after beingrepaired · Testing and adjusting mechanical parts afterbeing repaired for proper performance · Diagnosing and testing parts with theassistance of computers · Provide accurateestimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job · Keep logs on workand issues · Maintainequipment and tools in good condition The knowledge, skills and attributes required for this positionare: · Relevant Certificate IV or above in automotive mechanical or at least 2 yearsof relevant experience · Proven experience as auto mechanic · Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electricaland electronic components of vehicles · Working knowledge of vehicle diagnosticsystems and methods · Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers)and heavy equipment (e.g. lift) · Willingness to observe all safety precautionsfor protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc. · Excellent physical condition · Reliable and honest work ethic · Excellent communication skills · Holder of a current Motor VehicleDriver's Licence Thanks so much.
