再弱弱的问一句：如果一直都是住朋友家或者没有租房lease，让朋友写封信说明并签名可以吗？

我就是一直跟熟人住的，认识的人哪会签什么合同，但是作为申请材料当然是合同有说服力呀，我是自己拟了份合同，说明房子是XX从中介那租的，我只是从XX处share一个房间，然后也像摸像样的列上条款，比如bond金交多少呀，房租是多少呀，怎么个交法呀之类的，然后双方签个名，再附上你交房租的证明，对方打的收条，或者你网银转房租的receipt，我住的三个地方都是这样提交的居住证明，通过，CO没有任何疑问。

如果你是免费住朋友家，那就只能他给你写个证明，然后你最好能提供一些其他证据来support，比如车子registration的单子显示你是这个地址的，银行现实你该地址的账单等等，越充分越好，不要等CO有怀疑了再去补，那样说服力差很多。
