Hope you are doing well.
We would like to congratulate our intern Jassie who successfully secured a fulltime position as an Assistant Accountant with a local winery company inAdelaide.
Jassie graduated from uni in 2015 and she had 6 years HR Officer experienceoverseas. Jassie was very active with her job hunting during Uni, and shequickly realized the importance of local work experience. To improve herself,Jassie worked as a volunteer for church and other non-profit organizations as abookkeeper.
In the last year of Uni, Jassie applied for many accounting jobs, thinking hervolunteer experience would be sufficient for her to get an Accountant job.Unfortunately, it was still too difficult. Finally, Jassie decided to joinPlatinum's Assistant Accounting Training and Internship program. After theprogram, Jassie secured several interviews and finally got a job offer from alocal winery company as an Assistant Accountant.
Lots of students will do volunteer work during Uni, it is a good opportunity tobuild up communication and networking skills in Australia. HiMichelle & Scarlet,
Thank you so much for the positive referee check you done for me that helps meto get the position eventually. Sorry this interview feedback comes so late, Ihave been quite busy recently. So here is the feedback with regard to myinterview.
In the first round, they only asked some simple questions regarding to myresume, like the education background, any work experience I have got inAustralia, any accounting software I have used.
In the second interview, they concerned about personal questions, like mypersonality, and if I am a positive person, and what I normally will do forentertainment at weekends, and if I work in a big pressure what I would do tomeet the deadline and how to multitask, how to communicate to colleagues, thatsort of questions.
I reckon these questions have no unique right answers, but have to convince thepotential employer you are the right person they are looking for which mayrequire us to do research about the job description and background informationof the company, and show your positive attitude about position.
Again, thank you so much for the fantastic feedback you provided for me, andall kind help and advice you have ever offered to me. Hopefully, my experiencemay do a little help for the other job seekers in Platinum Accounting.
