Admissions Officer (Mandarin & English Speaker)

We are a reputable professional education and migration agency based in Adelaide CBD. An opportunity has opened up for an Admissions Officer to join our growing and expanding business. Admissions Officer will be responsible for the local international applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and non-award programs and the provision of administrative support relating to the admissions processes in timely, efficient and accurate manner.

Successful candidate will need:

  • Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident
  • Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Fluent in English (IELTS overall 6.5)
  • Minimum bachelor degree of Australian University
  • Honest, reliable and high sense of responsibility;
  • Detail oriented and strong organisational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong administrative and problem-solving skills;
  • Good time-management skills to work more efficiently;
  • Capable to work individually with minimum supervision;
  • Self-motivated, proactive with can-do attitude;
  • Service orientation – actively looking for ways to help people;
  • Display qualities of sincerity, integrity, confidentiality, empathy and wisdom;
  • Previous relevant working experiences are preferred;
  • Multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure.

Position description

The successful applicant will report and be mentored by our highly experienced Senior Education Counsellor and will enjoy working in a fast paced team environment who strive on helping a wide range of clients/ students via multiple contact channels. Key duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Preparing a range of applications to various high schools, vocational institutions or Universities
  • Providing information, advice, and support in processing the applications for international students who are seeking enrolment in Australian education institutions
  • Follow up with clients/ students on outstanding applications, documentation and monitoring of offers, acceptances and enrolments
  • Liaising with clients/ students to collect required information and documentation
  • Ensure the consistent interpretation, implementation and compliance with relevant legislation, institutional admissions and enrolment policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate as part of a well-rounded high performing team to deliver efficient innovative admissions and enrolment operations.
  • Preparing correspondence to clients/ students
  • Greeting clients/ students
  • Maintaining and updating accurate client/ student files
  • Responding to emails, answering and redirecting telephone calls
  • Use a variety of professional industry software packages to produce documents, including word processing, letter writing and outlook email correspondences.
  • Photocopy, scan and print various documents
  • Deal with telephone and email enquiries and liaise with customers or organisations to make appointments
  • Mail collection.
  • Create and maintain an organised filing system
  • Daily report to the manager about the progress and outcome of assigned tasks
  • Perform any other duties that requires
