据告，继9月初新西兰最大的语言学校Modern Age Institute of Learning 倒闭后，新西兰又一所最大规模的私立学校Carich Computer Education电脑培训学校于10月29日宣布倒闭。
Carich Computer Education电脑培训学校在新西兰资格认证局（NZQA）的注册名称是Carich Training Center Limited。在新西兰共有8个校区，有当地学生3000多人，国际学生500多人。国际学生中中国学生占大多数。我国驻新使馆对学校倒闭后中国学生所面临的困境表示关注，已与新外交贸易部及教育部、资格认证局的有关官员联系，要求新西兰有关方面尽快采取措施，妥善安排好中国学生。新方表示将尽力做好学生的转学安置工作，减少学生的损失。有关情况可通过新西兰资格认证局网站(www.nzqa.govt.nz) 查询。
针对最近一个时期国外一些国家连续发生私立学校倒闭事件，教育部有关负责人再次提醒留学人员，出国留学务必慎选学校，若就读国外的私立学校，尤其是私立语言学校或培训学校更要慎重，以免遭受不必要的损失。
