KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and repair the fleet in a reliable and roadworthy condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with the intention of reducing the occurrence of breakdowns.
• Complete all required documentation relating to NHVAS procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
• Create an efficient workshop by working within a team environment and to certain deadlines.
• Create an efficient workshop by sharing knowledge and training those less experienced
• To be responsible for the proper care and operation of any plant, tools or machinery used within the workplace.
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety procedures and all the other necessary policies.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Ability to carry out auto-electrical tasks with minimal supervision and proven ability to work within a team environment.
• Possess knowledge of rebuilding, repairing and testing of starter motors and alternators.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and to make independent decisions.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
• Possess a ‘HR’ or ‘HC’ class driver’s licence • Possess knowledge of repair and maintenance procedures for Kenworth electrical equipment.
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Preferred certified auto-electrician qualifications or similar automotive qualification
• Experience within a workshop setting • Possess a ‘C’ class driver’s licence
