I was enrolled in xxx University in xxxx, major in Computer Science. Course work and lab experiments took up most of my time. In my spare time, I surfed on the Internet and read journals. During that time, I realized that a significant factor that leads to a company's success is the well management. In recent years, business depression in many industries proved that not good technologists but good leadership could get enterprise out of embarrassment. Then I have had a solid faith that I would like to be a good business leader than a technician. Consequently, I audited many selective courses and studied myself in order to lay a good foundation for my future study, including Macro Economics, Micro Economics, Introduction to Management Science, Economics History, Project Management, Management and Organizations, Foreign Currency Theory, System Thinking.
I had ever a coordinator of the student union. At the beginning of my work, I found there were often conflicts between the members due to different personality, working attitude, and so on. Reckoning with the knowledge of System Thinking, I had analyzed people’s connections by “conceptual model” and “rich picture”. That is interesting and help me have a deeply cognition. So I arranged the outgoing people to help members to communicate with each other, and let those creative and active guys to plan and prepare activities. It makes our community the best one in our University. And I was rewarded. I believe that using the theory of management is the secret of success. This story also reinforced my confidence of studying management.
In 2001, China joined WTO. It was a new era for Chinese economy and society and it means a great opportunity for accelerating economic reform and growth, as while as a threat to China’s industrial structure and financial security. Many regulations and tariffs are to be adjusted as the government needs to implement policies in accord with international rules. Private firms now compete on a level playing field with state-run and foreign companies. High quality imports are rising, augmenting competition in the domestic market… But no matter how many changes has happened and will happen. A successful business leader should have excellent capability to deal with various circumstances. For my part, I want to develop the leadership, creative and teamwork skills that are crucial in giving me the confidence and competitive edge to develop my career. Good training can gives me a solid foundation in all the key functional areas of business finance, marketing, operations, and human resource management. It also can equip me with a range of concepts and decision-making techniques for analyzing complex business situations and devising solutions.
Therefore, I feel eager to study Management professionally. U.K is one of the most developed countries and research in Management always takes the lead in the world. I also believe that I can experience the business prosperity as well as human spirit in UK and really understand the true meaning of modern art of management, all of which will definitely benefit me a lot in my future career.
The conspicuous academic achievements and outstanding faculty of XXX Univ. impressed me deeply, and I am eager to be admitted into your honored program in Management. I believe that XXX Univ. can provide me the best environment to realize my dream, and the education here will give me invaluable experiences and skills that will allow me every success in the future.
