鹊桥仙

纤云弄巧，
飞星传恨，
银汉迢迢暗度。
金风玉露一相逢，
便胜却人间无数。
柔情似水，
佳期如梦，
忍顾鹊桥归路！
两情若是久长时，
又岂在朝朝暮暮？
The Immortal Magpie Bridge

Fine cloud displays her art;
A star shoots his grieved heart.
They steal o’er Silver River that keeps them apart.
Once golden wind encounters dew impearled,
All loves are eclipsed in the mortal world.
Their love purls as a stream;
Their trust is like a dream.
Back to the Magpie Bridge their hopeless eyes gleam.
If the two hearts remain steadfast for aye,
Why need they keep together night and day?
