As the society evolves and the technology develops, lives are changing dramatically. Comparing access to Internet with public transportation, some people believe that more money should be spent on the Internet, but some people hold the opposite opinion. So, which choice should we take? For me, I am in favor of enhancing our Internet system.
The main reason why I advocate the Internet is that it provide vast of information and knowledge, which is beneficial to people for study and work.. Take students as an example, the Internet provide them a resource of supplement information for their subjects. These could widen their eyes of the world. And with innumerable resources at their disposal, students have the opportunity to educate themselves. In short, even though there are many different views concerning this topic, in my part , I also would like to choose to provide more money for building the web.
In addition, It is convenient to communicate with other people though the Internet. You could chat with your friends ,who are not in the same city with you ,through e-mail , MSN, and so on. Even if you want to learn English, you could find a native people through the Internet. Besides, people could work at home with access to a computer and connect with each other through the web.
Admittedly, public transportation is also one of human basic needs which should be paid attention as well. However, throughout the world, most countries have already established fine public transportation system. Spending more money on it may be needless.
To sum up, given those sagacious reason which are discussed, the Internet had many merits like provides freedom of information and communication with other people. I strongly consist that the significance of Internet is far outweigh that of public transportation. |
