26·12·10 Two Jetties Fun Run - Bay Sports Festival
This 8.4km run/walk will begin at the Glenelg Jetty onto Brighton Jetty and back to the Glenelg Jetty. This event welcomes people of all ages. The South Coast Cycling Club will be conducting a criteruim cycle races for all ages around the Adelphi Terrace area. The day will start off with the Junior cycling races and end with the elite man race. The event will start at 9am-2pm and you can contact Bryan McIntyre on 0402 722 618 for more information.
27·12·10 Conoeing
This event invites canoe/kayak and surf ski paddles to participate in this friendly competition. Races 200/500 in single and doubles of various age groups and the 6km race will take place after the sprints. 27-28·12·10 SA Beach Volleyball Open

Colley Reserve will be home to this great SA event for 2 days of spectacular action. This event is in the top 2 of it's kind for Australia and holds events such as the 10 second and 100m dash, being the main attractions and so much more. This event will take place on the Glenelg Beach south of the jetty, between 9am and 5pm. There will be teams of 5 players set out to catch the flying frisbee in the opponents endzone. For more information about this event please call Richard Appleby on 0412 006 387.

31·12·10 New Year's Eve Celebrations
This year Glenelg will be holding live entertainment with Andy Seymour and Motown playing from 8:30pm-12:30am and before from 6:30pm-8:30pm roving entertainment will take place around the Glenelg area. Brighton and Glenelg will be holding fireworks at 9:30pm and Glenelg will hold the midnight fireworks as usual. There will be road closures down Jetty Road and Colley Terrace from 6pm-4am, but Brighton Road will be open as normal. The tram will stop at the top of Brighton Road while there is road closures. 26·1·11 Australia Day Celebrations
This year's Australia Day celebrations will take place in the Brian Nadilo Reserve, on the beach side of the Beachouse and the Surf Club. The event will start at 7am with breakfast being cooked by the Kiwanis club that you can purchase and the ceremony will then begin at 9:15am. The Holdfast Bay Community Award winners will be announced and the citizenship ceremony will then take place.
