是，西洋乐器：flute。可以独奏，CD伴奏，长笛二重奏，钢琴伴奏以及小乐队合奏。欢迎初学以及有一定程度的朋友报名学习。

西洋长笛名叫flute,短笛叫piccolo, 在指法上是一样的。短笛比长笛高8度，在交响乐团里面是木管声部最高音乐器。学会长笛的人调整一下口风和气息控制便可以吹短笛。一般乐团里由第二长笛兼任短笛手。

中国竹笛在口型，面部唇部肌肉练习，气息控制和西洋长笛有一定程度的差别。需要一段时间的适应和调整。长笛由于是西洋乐器，是十二平均律，而竹笛是五度相生律，所以在音感、音准、调性训练上都需要学习。

西洋长笛由于在调性上广泛的适应能力，可以与吉他，钢琴、小提琴，大提琴等西洋乐器合奏，在澳洲学校里有很多乐队都广泛用长笛。携带轻便，是这里很多孩子和成年人喜爱的乐器。
