I use canon 550D wif 18-135mm lens :)
Em, I switched to the TV mode with a low shutter speed 20-30''
I edit them using photoshop to make the background darker.
I am wondering do you guys have any tips for takeing shot of fireworks?

When you see the firework rising, move the cover paper away. Cover the lens again, if there is nothing in the sky. Do it as many times as you like. Then, release the button.
