The role:
Our Software Engineers have the ability of solving complex and interesting problems. To deliver the revolutionary solution at the scale we are creating requires ideas from just about every area of computer science, including information retrieval, database control, language processing, distributed solutions, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design, mobile application design, web application design and much much more.
As an Engineer at Tappr you will work on several projects that carry varying responsibilities. Your core function will be to assist in the development of complex and revolutionary software that will pave the way for the future.
Responsibilities:
• Write server-side and device-side code for mobile-based applications on iOS and Android platforms, develop prototypes quickly and test and resolve coding issues in a set time frame.
• Build internal diagnostic systems used for measuring app performance, server load management, security management and other classified functions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Extensive programming experience in Objective C and Java as well as a complete understanding of iOS and Android wireframes
• Several years of application software design and development experience, with extensive knowledge of X-Code and Android SDK and knowledge of hybrid mobile application frameworks (e.g. PhoneGap, Sencha) would be a plus.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Coding skills in Javascript/AJAX
• A solid background in HTML5, CSS3 and PHP would also be an advantage
